April fools day is one of my popular holidays. No, you don't normally get presents or visit with family or necessarily have a feast, but it is extremely festive and fun. Unfortunately many citizen pass right by it, not noticing it at all, unless possibly they notice something strange happening.
Putting a sign on someone's back is classic. It's normally a paper sign surreptitiously located there possibly with a piece of scotch tape with something absurd written on it. "Kick Me" and "I'm an April Fool" are popular choices, and in France they always use a photo of a (usually hand drawn) fish and call April Fools Day "Poissin d'Avril," which means "fish of April."
April Fools Jokes For School
The ridiculous yet serious email or phone call is also classic. Sometimes this will take the form of a supposedly serious record that states something ridiculous like "Scientists seek Green Frogs on Mars." Maybe you could send an email announcing that your boss is buying drinks and lunch for everyone and that the afternoon is canceled?
How about something truly outlandish but harmless? Don't butter the floor! Although funny, someone could get hurt. Instead why not Vaseline the door knob? That will positively get attention.
The best thing is to be creative. Come up with your own joke or prank. Think about repercussions: you don't want to cause problem or hurt anyone. Above all enjoy the most lighthearted and festive day of the year, and remember not to take anything or anything too seriously or you'll be the one fooled!
